Referees to be confirmed.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions the above record attempt will be convened by an International Convener via video ZOOM --- unless Border restrictions are lifted. Any future record attempts will be considered and looked at individually.

    Ethan Harder came up short by ten in his attempt on Louis Brown’s 8 hour merino ewe record of 497. The attempt took place at A D South & Co’s property, Gibbs Road, Cordering, Western Australia.
    Referees were: Ian Buchanan N.Z. (Convener), Peter Artridge, Ralph Blue, Mike Henderson Australia.

    Megan Whitehead 608, Sarah Higgins 528, Natalya Rangiawha 507, Amy Silcock 423 set a women’s four stand, 9 hour strong wool lamb World Record at Waihi-Pukawa Station, Omori, Turangi, New Zealand, with a total of 2066.
    Convening Referee Martyn David described the event as a very special day, shearing very good romney ewe lambs clipping an average of 1.11 kgs of wool. A large crowd watching gave a huge reception to the girls at the end of a cold morning followed by a very warm afternoon, which reflected an improvement in the shearing quality as the day progressed.
    Referees were: Martyn David (Convener) U.K., Ian Buchanan, Bart Hadfield, Neil Fagan, Ronnie King, Robert McLaren, Paul Harris N.Z. along with trainee observer Alistair Emslie N.Z.
